This year marks our 10th year riding in the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation [PMCF] Ride, celebrating a decade of riding together as Team Alectra. Over the past 10 years our employees have proudly united to take part in this inspiring 1 or 2-day event where thousands of cyclists of all ages and abilities make a meaningful difference in the lives of those battling cancer on an epic ride from Toronto to Hamilton.

What You Will
Experience

Join our team as a rider and you will be supported every step of the way. Choose the route you would like to complete, and ride the way that fits you.

One-day ride from Toronto to Hamilton or Hamilton to Niagara Falls
A 2-day 200 km ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls

Joining The Ride means you’re committed to raising funds for life-saving cancer research. To qualify for the official PMCF event, riders are required to raise a minimum of $3000. Alectra will contribute up to half of the fundraising amount for you, donating up to $1500 for each employee and family member who joins our Team. You will be committed to raising the other 50%.

Family Rider

This year we are excited to announce our Family Rider program. You and a family member can both join our team, fundraise together and your family member can complete the physical ride for you. They will receive all the Team Alectra benefits, including the fundraising top-up. You can support them as a cheerleader along the way, and you are both invited to join in the team dinner and share the complimentary accommodations.

Join us as a Fundraising Ambassador and help collect donations for our Team. You will receive rewards for each level that you raise. If you reach the higher level, you can choose the gift from any level.

Fundraising Incentives

This year we will have fundraising incentives for our non-riding employees. See our fundraising tiers and the rewards for each level in the chart. If you reach a higher level, you can choose one gift from any level below, until you hit $600+ when gifts become accumulative.

Draft $200 = Alectra-branded water bottle
Cadence $500 = Alectra-branded cap
Echelon $800 = Alectra-branded backpack
Peloton $1000 = all items listed.

You Can Do It

Remember, this event is for all ages and abilities, it is not about who finishes first, it is about coming together and participating. The ride is set up to support new riders. We will have Team Alectra Training Rides, and throughout the experience there are plenty of rest stops along the way and volunteers to help in any situation and our Team will be here to support you every step of the way.
